Access control systems are critical infrastructure for our customers, who rely on SecuriThings to monitor panels, spot connectivity issues, and manage firmware upgrades. But panels do not act alone, and until now what happened beneath them, at the reader level, was a blind spot. Most readers are not IP devices. They connect to a panel rather than directly to the network, so they have sat outside the managed device estate.
Reader visibility unlocks that non-IP layer, extending oversight down to the reader itself.
A new dedicated page gives a granular view of every door reader and expansion panel, the "child devices" beneath each panel. They are discovered automatically, with no manual setup, and each one surfaces with its name, connectivity status, communication protocol, and the parent panel it belongs to. From the Device Management page, you can move from a panel straight to its associated readers, and back again, in a single click.
That association is what makes troubleshooting faster. When a reader goes offline, you can immediately check the status of its parent panel and tell whether the problem is isolated to the reader or coming from the IP device above it, turning a multi-system investigation into a quick check in one place.
Reader visibility is available for Genetec Synergis, Lenel OnGuard, and C•CURE, with support for additional vendors forthcoming.
This is the foundation for deeper reader management. Planned additions include more detailed reader metrics and remote firmware upgrades for readers.
