The SecuriThings MCP Server Is Now Generally Available
Published on: October 19, 2026
We introduced the SecuriThings MCP Server in Early Access in September. Today it is generally available, and it is a core part of our new Agentic Orchestration module. It lets any team connect an AI assistant to their fleet and act on it, under the same controls that govern every other action in SecuriThings.
For why trusted AI action matters and how we approach it, see How to Harness AI for IoT Security.
What is available now
The MCP Server connects your fleet to any MCP-compatible AI assistant, so the visibility and remediation capabilities you already run in SecuriThings, including firmware upgrade, are reachable from the assistant your team uses. [Confirm the current GA action list, and what is new since Early Access, with PM.]
The MCP Server and the API are two ways into the same task engine: developers can build against the API, and everyone else works through an assistant. Either way the action runs through the same engine, with the same result and the same record.
The same controls as the platform
Every task run through the MCP Server runs as if you ran it in SecuriThings:
- Permissions: every task runs under the permissions of the person who initiates it, so the assistant cannot reach a device or action that person could not.
- Approval: tasks require explicit approval, given on demand or in advance, so a person stays in the loop for every change.
- Auditing: every task is recorded in the audit log and surfaced in reporting, with who did what, when, and on which devices, so you can pull a custom report of what ran through an assistant.
- Rollback: every task keeps its built-in rollback, exactly as it works from the platform.
Pre-built skills to start from
Alongside GA we are publishing pre-built skills: ready-made recipes you can run and adapt, such as on-demand fleet reporting and compliance history. Built on an open standard, they are portable to other MCP-compatible assistants and live in the Developer Center.
Where this is heading
The MCP Server is the first step toward AI that can continuously monitor, investigate, and remediate within the permissions you set. We cover that direction, including a fleet-sweep skill that finds issues, identifies root causes, and recommends fixes, in How to Harness AI for IoT Security.
Get started
To turn on the MCP Server, contact your Customer Success Manager or use the Help Center in the SecuriThings UI. An administrator adds SecuriThings as a custom connector in a few clicks with our setup guide. Documentation and examples live in the Developer Center.
